Duckpin bowling is often described as a lost art. What began as an American-born sport at the turn of the 20th century was driven nearly to extinction by the late 1900s as bigger, more commercialized sports took over the playing field. Today, however, duckpin bowling is making a comeback as families rediscover the fun (and die-hard competitors discover the unique challenge) of launching a grapefruit-sized ball at ten squat pins…and managing to knock them all down with only two rolls.
Group Therapy is bringing nostalgic duckpin bowling back to the mainstream in Greenville, SC. Now you can step behind the fowl line and try your hand at scoring the perfect 300.
Weighing no more than 4 lbs. and having a diameter of around 5 in., duckpin balls are a comfortable size for anyone. Adding to their uniqueness is the fact that they don’t have holes like traditional bowling balls.
Your fingers can thank us later.
When this game debuted, players noticed when their ball hit just right, the short white pins resembled ducks in scattered flight. Thus its fowl name was coined.
Here’s your chance to celebrate not having your ducks in a row!
Do you enjoy walking around in a pair of stinky, uncomfortable, 25-year-old shoes when you go bowling with friends?
Yeah…neither do we.
Ditch those nasty bowling shoes and experience the fun of duckpin bowling, without the fowl smell.
Each lane can be booked for up to 4 guests.
Bringing a larger group? We’ll do everything we can to pair you in adjoining lanes,
but it’s best if you book in advance to help make this possible!

You like to wing it, huh? Well, you’re welcome to fly on by! We can’t guarantee you’ll find a duckpin bowling lane open if you don’t book in advance, but if there’s one available, we’ll be happy to get your good times rolling!
If the lanes are already booked, we’ll have plenty of other options for you to choose from, including indoor wacky mini golf, axe throwing, ice curling, multi-sport golf simulator, and more!
Absolutely! With smaller balls and shorter lanes, duckpin bowling makes it easier for children to join in the fun.
Please Note: After 8 p.m. Group Therapy admits adults only, ages 18+. If you want to bring your kids along, be sure to arrive by 6 or 7 p.m. for duckpin bowling.
Duckpin bowling lanes can be booked for 1 hr., 1.5 hrs., or 2 hrs. You can indicate how long you’d like to reserve your lane when you make your booking. (Please note: Duckpin bowling is $20/hr. for each adult and $10/hr. for each child 12 and under.)
P.S. Feel free to stick around afterwards to grab some food or drink, or jump into another Group Therapy experience!
Better question: Why have I never had a duckpin bowling party? Forego the traditional bowling alleys and, instead, bring your friends to an indoor pub and playground where modern technology meets retro fun and where new memories are created with a nostalgic backdrop.
For party-planning purposes, we do ask that you get a headcount and, if more than 8 people will be in attendance, give us a call so we can check bookings and ensure you get all the lanes you need!
You bet! We offer packages for groups of 10 people or more. Since these packages vary based on each group’s needs and desires, please give us a call (864.284.4333) or email us ([email protected]) to get more information.
Of course. What good is a reservation if you can’t roll with it?! You have a right to change or cancel your booking within 24 hours of the reservation time. After that, your tickets are non-refundable. (But you could still share the love of duckpin bowling by transferring your tickets to someone else!)
Please refer to your booking confirmation email to make any changes or cancellations.
